Granite City continues its annual celebration through Sunday at Wilson Park. and Coolidge Middle School grounds. Today, Christian artist Danny Liston will perform at 6:30 p.m. at Coolidge and the St. Louis Parachute Club will jump and land at Coolidge at 7:30. The Park District's children's choir will sing at 8:15. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. at the Collidge grounds.

WASHINGTON COUNTY FAIR: Washington County will kick off the area's county fair season TODAY when the annual horse show opens the eight-day gala at 4:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds in Nashville. Among the other highlights will be Illinois Tractor Pull Association-sanctioned pulls on Monday and Tuesday, a rodeo next Thursday, and demolition derbies on Wednesday and the final night, July 12. In addition, a tractor pull for county residents only on July 11 will be expanded to 10 classes.
