The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Wednesday that it has extended crop year 2009 acreage reporting deadines to Aug. 14, with the exception of the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program.
Some producers have not filed an acreage report, requested prevented planting or reported failed acreage because of extreme weather conditions, according to a news release from the Illinois Farm Service Agency in Springfield.
Producers enrolled in the noninsured assistance program are required to file a report by the extended deadline but no later than 15 calendar days before the onset of harvest if it arrives earlier than Aug. 14.
