This weekend is full of biking fun.

The Tour de Belleville took place Friday night, the Tour de Donut rolled Saturday morning.

If you missed the Tour de Stooges, check it out next year. With the proliferation of bike trails in Madison County and St. Clair slowly building trails, there are many opportunities for bike enthusiasts.

If you are looking for a group to ride with, I recommend the Belleville Area Bicycling and Eating Society to start with.

Check out Trailnet for a variety of information on area rides and trails. If you're looking for a competitive event, try the Millstadt Biathlon in September

You never know. I might be in shape for the Millstadt race in September.

For those photo enthusiasts looking to try out their cameras during a bike event here are a few suggestions: First, use a slow shutter speed and pan with the rider to blur the background. Second, find something interesting in the foreground to frame the bike riders as they pass by. Third, use a telephoto and a large aperture. That will compress the image and blur the foreground and background.
