What book, movie or TV show would you recommend?
"'Alibi Man' by Tami Hoag. It was excellent. A group of Russian immigrants settled in South Florida and were working at the polo stables. A female detective who had quit her job also works there. One of the grooms in the stable is murdered. A man detective investigates. The Russian crime mob is involved. It's a romance, too. The two detectives get together."

"I watched 'Merlin' on TV and saw the Harry Potter movie ('The Half Blood Prince'), which was excellent, but then I am a follower of Harry Potter. I had not read this one, but had an inkling of how it was going to end. It's definitely a go-seer. 'Merlin' is a TV show (7 p.m. Sundays on KSDK Channel 5) that's about King Arthur days. It's kind of neat. They kind of tie into each other."

"'Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.' I just saw it at the Lincoln. It was really good and really funny. I think this was the best one of the three."

"The last good book that I read was Jeff Shaara's 'The Rising Tide.' It's the first of a trilogy about the U.S. Army in World War II. It's based on fact, but is a fictional novel interwoven with history. The author is the son of Michael Shaara who wrote 'Killer Angels.' He's not as good as his father, but he's something of a chip off the old block"
Stephen King, 51
("I haven't read any Stephen King books, but I signed one for a friend of the wife just for grins and giggles.")

"'The Number 23,' (2007 film starring Jim Carrey). He played a dog catcher. His wife had bought him a book about a serial killer who did everything with the number 23. You come to find out Jim Carrey was No. 23. He was really the author of the book. And he's the serial killer. He didn't remember."

"Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen." (It's a science fiction action film) about alien looking things escaping from cars."

"'Gran Torino.' This old guy had a classic Gran Torino. Asians moved in near his house. One tries to steal his car. It's about gangs and racism. It didn't have a good ending, but it was still a good movie. It was a sad ending." Justin Monroe, 14

"'Harry Potter The Half Blood Prince.' I thought it was good. My favorite character is Hermione. My favorite part of the movie was when Harry made this potion thing. It was like liquid luck. If you drink it, whatever you wish for comes true."
