In addition to celebrating the lives of cancer survivors and the memory of cancer victims, the Clinton County Relay for Life will offer people who have never had cancer a chance to participate in an important national survey.

The American Cancer Society is looking for participants in Cancer Prevention Study-3. The study will help medical people understand the lifestyle, environmental and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer.

The relay, beginning at 7 p.m., Friday, at Central Community High School near Breese, will be one of more than 200 CPS-3 enrollment sites in the country scheduled for 2009.
