Michael Kloos cashed in on the momentum from his 100-lap St. Clair County Fair race win and nailed down his fourth UMP Late Model feature win of 2009 last Friday at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville.

He was followed by Mike Hammerle, Aaron Kleine, Frankie Martin and Mike Schulte to complete the top five.

Dean Hoffman also won his fourth feature this year in UMP Modifieds. He outran Lenny Bryant, Bobby Bittle, Paul Reinneck and Tim Hancock.

Mark Schaefer held off challenges from UMP Sportsman points leader Jimmy Cummins for his second feature win. Wade Sutter was third, followed by Brian Eaves and Brian Shubirg.

Mike Reagan was the Pure Stock winner.

Highland Speedway

The Midwest Monster series rolled into Highland Speedway on Saturday with Jason Feger winning the 40-lap UMP Late Model feature. Randy Korte was second, followed by Chad Zobrist.

Robbie Eilers took his third checkered flag of the season in the UMP Modifieds feature. He was chased by Jim Werner, Jr. and Dean Hoffman.

Rob Lee was the UMP Sportsman winner. Last week's Street Stock feature race was rescheduled for Saturday. Rob Shaw also posted a feature win, while Heidi Goodman won the Kids Mods feature.

Springfield ARCA race

ARCA RE/MAX Series rookie Parker Kligerman, in his first-ever dirt track attempt, padded his points lead Sunday with a historic victory in the 47th running of the Allen Crowe 100 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield.

Kligerman, 19, surpassed Justin Allgaier -- who was 20 at the time -- as the youngest winner of the annual stock car classic. Ironically, it was Allgaier who offered advice to Kligerman right before the start. Both drivers race under the Penske Racing banner.

Kligerman, who started second in the Cunningham Motorsports Dodge, pitted out of sequence and much later than the majority of the front-runners which buried him deep in the field near the halfway point.

However, Kligerman methodically maneuvered his way back toward the front, picking cars off one by one in time to challenge for the win.

Ron Cox, who led 11 laps in Wayne Hixson's Dan Shaver Memorial Scholarship Chevrolet, finished a career-best second about 10 lengths back. Patrick Sheltra finished third in the Buffalo Wings & Rings Dodge, while NASCAR's Ken Schrader was eighth and Centralia's Joe Cooksey was 16th.

I-55 Raceway

I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo., is hosting the MARS vs. UMP DIRTcar event Saturday paying $5,000 to win for Late Models.

Also on the race card are UMP DIRTcar Modifieds paying $1,000 to win, UMP DIRTcar/AARA Sportsman paying $500 to win and UMP DIRTcar/AARA Pro 4 Stocks.

Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Grandstand admission is $20 and children 12-under are free.

On Saturday, Chatham's Brian Shirley raced to his second UMP Late Model feature win of 2009. Ricky Horton, in a fierce battle for the track championship with Tim Hancock, claimed his fourth UMP Modified main event victory of 2009.

Tim Hollerbach claimed his first UMP DIRTcar/AARA Sportsman division feature win of 2009.

Jason Crump won the UMP DIRTcar/AARA Pro 4 Stock division.
