The Lenzburg mayor is planning an emergency town hall meeting Thursday to address the movement of a generator for the Prairie State Energy Plant through town next week.

Mayor James Stolte is calling for the meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Lenzburg Community Center, 215 N. Charles St.

The meeting will address traffic, parking and other concerns surrounding the transportation beginning Monday of the generator through the center of town.

A generator for the new Prairie State Energy plant will be transported from the Kaskaskia River to the plant site in Lively Grove, Police Chief Skip Mize said.

"We're urging all the citizens of Lenzburg to attend," Mize said.
