Investigators on Monday morning identified a 35-year-old Coulterville man who shot to death his in-laws late Saturday night before using the shotgun on himself.

Brian Morrison, 35, shot Tamara Carroll, 46, and Stanley Garbs, 52, both of Marissa, just before midnight Saturday, according to the Randolph County Sheriff's Department. They were the parents of his wife, Misti Morrison.

The bodies of all three were found in the driveway of the Morrison residence, Randolph County Sheriff Fred Frederking said.

During a domestic dispute Saturday night, Misti Morrison called her parents and asked them to drive to Coulterville to pick up her and her children, police said.

When the couple arrived, however, the dispute escalated, and Brian Morrison shot them with a 12-gauge shotgun.

Misti Morrison called 9-1-1 for help. Before police could arrive, Brian Morrison shot himself. Coulterville police and a sheriff's deputy arrived to find the three bodies in the Morrisons' driveway.

Misti Morrison and the children were unharmed.
