CSS offers professional counseling as well as the largest foster care and adoption programs in Southern Illinois, with offices in Belleville, Carbondale, East Alton, Effingham and Mt. Vernon. It also manages St. John Bosco Childrens Center, the only residential treatment center for children ages 6-12 south of Bloomington, and St. Johns Daycare and Preschool for ages 2-5 in Belleville.
How to help
As a non-profit social service agency, CSS welcomes monetary contributions of any amount. More than 92 percent of income goes directly to our programs to serve persons of all ages and backgrounds with social and emotional needs. Volunteers assist during our Secret Santa program each winter to provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of foster children and needy families in the area. Clothing donations can be left year-round in the drop boxes behind Althoff Catholic High School (West Main and Frank Scott Parkway in Belleville) and St. John Bosco, 900 Royal Heights Road, Belleville, 62221, or call 314-416-1300 to schedule a pick up.
