Belleville flower shop is sold

A Belleville flower shop has been sold to another Belleville floral retailer.

Dill's Floral Haven at 258 Lebanon Ave. has purchased the assets of Bob's Flower Shop at 315 Sherman St., which closed its doors earlier this month. You can reach the newly consolidated business at 234-2056.

An upscale restaurant in Edwardsville will close after a decade and a half of business.

Neruda at 4 Club Centre will be no more after business on Valentine's Day. Owner Madt Mallinckrodt is retiring after opening the fine-dining establishment 15 years ago and working in the restaurant business for the past three decades. Through Feb. 14, you can reach the eatery at 659-9866.

Eagle Flooring has closed its store in O'Fallon and plans to relocate to a new spot in Swansea. The flooring retailer had subleased and operated out of the former Lane Home Furnishings and Broyhill Furniture building at 1246 Central Park Drive in O'Fallon for the past year and a half and is relocating to the former 84 Lumber store at 2501 N. Illinois St. in Swansea within the next two weeks. A grand opening sale is being planned.

Swing City Music will open its new music shop before the end of the month. The Collinsville music and musical instrument store will relocate down the street from its 1312 Vandalia St. locale to a new one that has been built on a former car dealership lot at 1811 Vandalia St., between Walgreens and Fazzi's Bar & Restaurant. Last September, a fire damaged the music store and forced the business to close a while for repairs.

And finally, Dupo Marine Center is being recognized for customer satisfaction in its industry. The boat and watercraft dealer at 900 N. Main St. in Dupo is one of 88 Mercury dealers who have been chosen to receive the Mercury CSI Award -- a customers service award that is given to the top Mercury service centers in the United States and Canada.
