O’Fallon and Edwardsville received No. 1 seeds in Class 4A, while East St. Louis and Mater Dei received No. 1 seeds in Class 3A for the girls basketbal playoffs.

O’Fallon is the top seed in the Class 4A Belleville West Regional, followed by second-seeded Belleville East, third-seeded Collinsville and fourth-seeded Belleville West.

Ubeaten Edwardsville is the top seed in the Class 4A Edwardsville Regional. Quincy is No. 2, Granite City is No. 3 and Alton is No. 4.

The East St. Louis Flyerettes garnered the top seed in the Class 3A Waterloo Regional. Althoff is No. 2, Cahokia is No. 3, Mascoutah is No. 4 and Waterloo is No. 5.

In the Class 3A Highland Regional, Mater Dei was voted as the No. 1 seed, followed by Civic Memorial, Highland, Jeryseyville and Triad.

Regional pairings for the two large-school classes will be released Friday afternoon (Jan. 26) by the Illinois High School Association.
