BELLEVILLE POLICE

MONDAY, JUNE 11

6:27 a.m. Burglary -- 100 block of South 17th Street. The victim reported unknown person(s) pried off the lock to her shed between June 10 at 8 p.m. and June 11 at 6:25 a.m. and property was stolen.

10:53 a.m. Burglary -- 100 block of South 18th Street. The victim reported sometime in the last 24 hours unknown person(s) stole property out of the garage damaging a vehicle in the process.

12:44 p.m. Possession of hypodermic needles -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. Officers were called to Walmart for a possible retail theft in progress. The unknown female suspect returned the merchandise before officers arrived. The female was then stopped with two other subjects on the parking lot. One subject, Woodrow Gross, 31, was found in possession of cannabis. He was arrested and issued a non traffic citation then released at the scene with a notice to appear. The second subject, Scott Schifferedecker, 36, was found in possession of needles and a Bethany Place card. He was arrested for the needle possession, transported, booked and held pending bond.

5:49 p.m. Domestic battery -- Executive Inn, 1234 Centerville Ave. A juvenile suspect was arrested after he struck and kicked his sister/victim. The juvenile was transported, then transported to the St. Clair County Detention Center.

6:50 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 400 block of North Fourth Street. The victim reported unknown person(s) tore a screen off his basement window.

7:31 p.m. Violation of an order of protection -- 600 block of North Fifth Street. The victim reported her son/suspect was outside her residence beating on the door and yelling obscenities. Officers arrived on scene and the suspect fled on foot and could not be located. The victim has an active Order of Protection against the suspect.

7:44 p.m. Pedestrian check, possession of cannabis -- West A and North Ninth Street. Officers conducted a pedestrian check on Shandre Carter, 34. During the course of speaking with Carter, he was found to be in possession of cannabis and was arrested. Carter was transported, booked and released with a notice to appear.

11:42 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of a controlled substance -- North 17th Street and West H Street. The driver/suspect was arrested during a traffic stop after being found in possession of a controlled substance. The suspect was transported, booked and transported to the St. Clair County jail pending further investigation.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

TUESDAY, JUNE 12

Keith H. Rucker, 29, of 2830 Calvin, Lot 22, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of escape on June 8. Rucker allegedly having been convicted of a felony, unlawful restraint, knowingly failed to report to a penal institution, being the St. Clair County Jail on June 8 as instructed.

Gary N. Wilson II, 44, of 216 E. State St., O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while license is revoked on May 27 by St. Clair County sheriff. Wilson allegedly drove a gray 2002 Ford Coupe on North Illinois Street in Fairview Heights while under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were revoked.

Darrin McGloson, 46, of 1815 Raab Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a felon and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon on June 10 by Belleville police. McGloson allegedly possessed at a residence a shotgun shell. Defendant has been previously convicted of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Sept. 21, 2006.

Lamontae L. Oliver, 22, of 1232 Ashford Drive, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on June 11 by Illinois State Police. Oliver allegedly carried in a vehicle a .40-caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had not been issued a current FOID card.

Gerald E. Harsley, 42, of 2228 St. Louis Ave., St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on June 11 by Fairview Heights police. Harsley allegedly carried in a vehicle a .45-caliber pistol at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible.

Joseph M. Baum, 22, of Lenzburg, arrested on suspicion of domestic battery by Lenzburg police.

Lamontae L. Oliver, 22, of St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon by Illinois State Police.
