Here are some highlights from the latest Belleville Police blotter:
MONDAY
6:37 p.m. AGGRAVATED BATTERY/DISTURBANCE - Southside Park, 800 S. 6th St. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving numerous subjects. Several subjects were stopped leaving the area and field interview reports were completed on them. A female victim, 18, arrived at headquarters accompanied by her boyfriend, to report that while she was at the park she had been struck in the face by an unknown male with a tree branch. The victim's boyfriend, 21, who was at the park with the victim, stated after seeing his girlfriend hit, he fought with an unknown black male at which time he pulled his pocket knife and swung it. He believes he may have struck the black male with the knife. He had accidentally cut his own hand while trying to protect himself. Further investigation is pending.
WEDNESDAY
1 a.m. DISTURBANCE-OCCUPANCY VIOLATION - 200 block of Abend St. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance and made contact with Tina M. Koesterer, 41, who was highly intoxicated and her female roommate, 36. The roommate stated that she and Koesterer were involved in a disturbance. Neither of the subjects was injured. Koesterer was issued an nontraffic citation for violation of occupancy and released with a notice to appear.
