Here are some highlights from the latest Belleville Police blotter:
THURSDAY
6:40 p.m. THEFT - Advanced Auto Parts, 4203 N. Belt West. An employee/suspect, a 50-year-old male, was arrested after allegedly stealing from the business. The suspect was transported to headquarters, booked and held pending further investigation.
8:43 p.m. AGGRAVATED ASSAULT - 300 block of West C St. The victim, a 16-year-old female, reported the suspect, a 17-year-old female, allegedly threw a beer bottle at her and her friends and then pointed a black handgun at them after an altercation regarding an ongoing problem with the suspect's dogs. The victim's mother signed an nontraffic citation for aggravated assault against the suspect.
8:55 p.m. DRUNKENNESS - Bellevue Park, 401 Bellevue Park Drive. Edward Brooks, a 49-year-old male, was arrested after officers found him highly intoxicated in the park, lying under a tree. Brooks was transported to headquarters and held pending bond.
