BELLEVILLE POLICE
THURSDAY, JUNE 28
9:34 a.m. Theft -- 9800 block of Olympia. The property owner/victim reported sometime within the last week unknown person(s) removed the entire air conditioning unit from her vacant property.
10:45 a.m. Traffic stop, possession of altered registration sticker -- West Harrison and South Illinois. The driver/suspect was arrested during a traffic stop after it was discovered the registration sticker on his vehicle had been altered. The suspect was transported, booked and held pending further investigation.
10:53 a.m. Aggravated domestic battery -- 8400 block of Illinois 15. The victim reported her son/suspect has battered her on numerous occasions over the last week. Abbott Ambulance transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries. The suspect was located and arrested. The suspect was transported pending further investigation.
4:34 p.m. Theft -- 1300 block of Lebanon Avenue. The property owner/victim reported sometime in the last two days unknown person(s) removed the central air unit from his vacant property.
6:49 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver, fugitive arrest -- 4300 block of North Belt West. The driver/suspect was arrested during a traffic stop after being found in possession of cannabis and having an outstanding felony warrant. The suspect was transported, booked and then transported to the St. Clair County Jail and held pending further investigation.
8:16 p.m. Disorderly conduct -- Imo's Pizza, 201 South Belt West. Joshua Wersel, 22, was arrested after allegedly causing a disturbance in the business. Wersel was transported, booked and held pending bond.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
THURSDAY, JUNE 28
James T. Dixon, 22, of 516 N. August St., Apt. 2C, Mascoutah, arrested on suspicion of two counts of deceptive practice June 7 by Freeburg police. Dixon allegedly with the intent to defraud and the intent to obtain control over certain property of Alan Hurd, a corporation doing business as New Baden Market Center, 450 W. Hanover, New Baden, being micellaneous groceries, allegedly delivered a certain bank check to an employee of New Baden Market Center, dated June 7, drawn on the Bank of America, payable to New Baden Market Center, in the amount of $434.36, and signed as drawer James Dixon, knowing check would not be paid by the depository. Dixon allegedly with the intent to defraud and the intent to obtain control over certain property or Norrenberns Food Inc., a corporation doing business as Tom's Supermarket, 369 Market Place Drive, Freeburg, being paper towels and gift card, allegedly delivered a bank check to Samantha Muir, an employee of said corporation, dated June 24, drawn on the Bank of America, payable to Tom's Supermarket, in the amount of $711.90, and signed as drawer James Dixon, knowing check would not be paid by the depository.
Bryan E. Szakacsi, 46, of 403 Art St., Collinsville, arrested on suspicion of driving while license is revoked, subsequent offense May 22 by Caseyville police. Szakacsi allegedly drove a maroon 1996 Chevrolet Lumina on Black Lane in Caseyville, at a time when defendant's driver's license was revoked. Defendant has been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked April 11, 2007.
Keith M. Lloyd, 49, of 7 Bluff Court, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving while license is suspended June 28 by Fairview Heights police. Lloyd allegedly drove a black 2000 Dodge on St. Clair Avenue in Fairview Heights, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were suspended.
Curtis A. Williams, 31, of 149 Westwood Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with intent to deliver controlled substance and unlawful possession with intent to deliver cannabis April 17 by St. Clair County sheriff. Williams allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver a substance containing oxycodone and possessed with the intent to deliver more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Aaron C. Thomas, 17, of 747 St. Nicholas Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of mob action June 26 by Cahokia police. Thomas allegedly by the use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he, while acting together with Leroy Turner and Thomas Stocker and without authority, fought in the street while located at St. Nicholas and East Fifth Street, Cahokia.
Thomas A. Stocker, 18, of 416 Range, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of mob action June 26 by Cahokia police. Stocker allegedly by the use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he, while acting together with Leroy Turner and Aaron Thomas and without authority, fought in the street while located at St. Nicholas and East Fifth Street, Cahokia.
Leroy Turner Jr., 19, of 2300 Ridge Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of mob action June 26 by Cahokia police. Turner allegedly by the use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he, while acting together with Aaron Thomas and Thomas Stocker and without authority, fought in the street while located at St. Nicholas and East Fifth Street, Cahokia.
FRIDAY, JUNE 29
Darryl W. Knighten, 23, of 3212 West Blvd., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of burglary and unlawful delivery of cannabis July 8, 2009, by Belleville police. Knighten allegedly entered a motor vehicle of Ann Weishaar, 653 Vicksburg, Belleville, with the intent to commit theft and allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Susan L. Stone, 50, of 300 E. Pinckneyville St., Lenzburg, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to government supported property June 9 by Lenzburg police. Stone allegedly damaged, without the consent of the village of Lenzburg, the Meter Tile, 300 E. Pinckneyville Road, Lenzburg, which property is supported in part with village of Lenzburg funds, said damage not in excess of $500.

Barnard Franklin, 52, of 2437 White St., Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance June 29 by Alorton police. Franklin allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

FEDERAL COURT
FRIDAY, JUNE 29
Saul Ruelas-Valdovinos, 36, a Mexican who had been living in Chicago, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Michael Reagan to 27 years and three months in prison for his part in a cocaine distribution ring that operated in the metro-east. Ruelas-Valdovinos was ordered to pay a fine of $1,250 and a special assessment of $100 and to forfeit $4.368 million. In addition, the court entered an order that requires he be deported from the United States upon his release from prison. Ruelas-Valdovinos had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute cocaine. Ruelas-Valdovinos supplied the drug trafficking ring with the bulk of the cocaine it distributed, which was well in excess of 150 kilograms. He also occupied a managerial role and made multiple credible threats of violence in relation to his drug trafficking activities.
MONDAY, JULY 2
Jack C. Baldwin Jr., 46, of Belleville, was charged with enticement of a minor, transfer of obscene matter to a minor and transportation of child pornography. His trial is scheduled for Sept. 11. In December, Baldwin allegedly persuaded an 11-year-old girl to send him a picture of her genitalia, he allegedly sent her a picture of his penis and he sent the picture of her to an e-mail account.
