Belleville blotter: Women arrested after a fight in road injures two

The following reports appeared in the crime blotter released Tuesday by the Belleville Police Department:

Sunday

DISTRICT 6 12-05700 (1904 Hrs) BATTERY/DISORDERLY CONDUCT/OBSTRUCTING - 1700 block of Mascoutah Ave. Briana Seales and Shandalyn Seales were arrested after being involved in a disturbance in the roadway, in which one victim was battered and the suspects swung a board and struck the 2nd victim. The victims received minor injuries in the altercation. The suspects fled the area on foot and were apprehended by officers. The suspects were transported to HQ, booked and released after posting bond.

DISTRICT 4 12-05707 (2314 Hrs) ATTEMPTED ROBBERY/BATTERY - 100 block of S. 16th St. The victim reported he was walking in the 100 block of South 16th when a small white vehicle pulled alongside him and a male in his 20's exited the car and approached him. The suspect attempted to grab his computer case from him but he wouldn't let go. The male began striking him. Suspect was unable to get the computer case and fled in the car. The victim was treated at an area hospital for injuries.
