Hello Gals - Red Hot Summer

July 5, 2012

#1: Get Out and Go to the Lipstik Women’s Show. Saturday, July 21st at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, 10am - 4pm. You could win one of 5 luxury cruises for two. Pull up a chair and enjoy Sips n’ Splatters where you can paint a beautiful piece of artwork under the guidance of David Brandt. Rachel’s Garden will be presenting great ideas. Stop for a moment and enjoy a motivational presentation by Dawn Mushill, sample great foods, dance to the sounds of Night Magic DJ. Great prizes from our 70 vendors to those that attend the show. It will be a fun day for gals of all ages. Check the Belleville News-Democrat every day for the latest information on the show. See you there!

#2: 2012 Salute to the Arts on August 24th - 26th in Fairview Heights is the place to be. Artist from all around the country will showcase their works of art. It’s a feast for the eyes and something to do for everyone in the family. Check out their story on page 10 for more information.

#3: Take a ride up the river road to Grafton. The beauty of this drive is peaceful and relaxing. Once in Grafton, enjoy the waterpark or stroll along the shops and restaurants. I love having a quick lunch at Grafton Winery, sitting out on their deck watching the lazy river go by. It’s great fun.

#4 Meet Me at the Muny... What a fun and entertaining place to be on a beautiful starry night. My daughter Kelli & I have enjoyed several shows this year. Our favorite so far has been Chicago. There are several more weeks of great shows. Don’t let the summer heat scare you away. The breeze is wonderful and the shows are spectacular.

#5: Get out in Your Cardinal Red and take the family to a St. Louis Cardinals game. It’s an all American pastime I just can’t get enough of. And the closer you sit to home plate you will agree with me...”Yadie is a Hottie.”

Summer is short and cold winter will be here soon enough. Get out and enjoy your time. Hope to see you at the Lipstik Magazine Women’s Show. Stop by our booth and meet the staff. Plus, you might be “Spotted on the Scene” and appear in our next issue!
