A new standalone Chick-fil-A restaurant will open at 6 a.m. Thursday in Fairview Heights.
The first 100 participants who comply with official rules will receive a grand prize of free food for a year: One Chick-fil-A Meal (chicken sandwich, waffle potato fries and drink) per week for a year -- 52 meals.
You can enter by showing up at the parking lot, located on the outlot in front of Lowe's on North Illinois Street. at 6 a.m. Aug. 1 for a chance to receive an entry into a raffle drawing.
The pre-opening "camp out" is a tradition with every new restaurant the chicken sandwich chain opens. Whether or not a raffle is needed on Wednesday morning, registered participants are required to remain on the property until prizes are awarded Thursday morning.
Chick-fil-A also operates inside the Food Court at St. Clair Square in Fairview Heights and inside the University Center at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Sunrise Family Restaurant has suddenly closed on Belleville's west end. A sign on one of the restaurant's windows at 6401 W. Main St. indicates that the space is available for rent.
Bada Bling Boutique is a new store in O'Fallon that specializes in carrying exclusive lines of women's, men's and children's clothing, fashion jewelry, unique accessories, gourmet food and gifts.
