belleville police

monday, july 30

5:48 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 500 block of North 43rd Street. The victim reported sometime last night, unknown person(s) broke into her car, while it was parked in her driveway, and property was stolen.

12:24 p.m. Retail theft -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. A loss prevention officer reported a juvenile allegedly took several items and passed all points of sale without paying for them. The juvenile was arrested, transported and released to his parent.

1:22 p.m. Investigation of domestic battery -- 100 block of North 39th Street. The victim reported during a disturbance on July 29, her husband/suspect allegedly pushed her to the floor.

2:49 p.m. Disorderly conduct --First block of North 45th Street. The victim reported Keith Adamson, 39, threatened him. The suspect was gone on arrival and the vitim signed a nontraffic citation against him. At 5:30 p.m., Adamson was arrested and released with a notice to appear.

3:23 p.m. Damage to property -- 300 block of South Jackson. The victim reported at 9 a.m., a picnic table was burnt as a result of a juvenile neighbor pouring hot wax on the table, then pouring lighter fluid on it and lighting it. The victim's nephews were able to extinguish the fire. Her fence alsohad fire damage that occurred on July 27; allegedly the same juvenile had poured lighter fluid on the fence and set fire to it, then extinguished the fire with water.

6:52 p.m. Battery -- Circle K, 9618 W. Main St. The victim reported Keneshai Akins, 22, threw an item at her. Akins was arrested, transported and held pending bond.

7:04 p.m. Retail theft -- Circle K, 10 South Belt West. Megan Ramsey, 26, was arrested after she took alcohol and left the store without paying for it. Ramsey was located several blocks away. Ramsey was transported and held pending bond.

8:05 p.m. Theft -- 100 block of South 17th Street. The victim reported a family member/suspect removed property fromt he residence and pawned it in East St. Louis. The victim confronted the suspect and was able to obtain the pawn ticket.

9:05 p.m. Juvenile disturbance -- 1100 block of Dawn Drive. Officers responded to a report of juveniles who were arguing and attempting to fight with a resident int he 1100 block of Dawn. Several juveniles were identified as officers arrived, all others were gone on arrival.

11:14 p.m. Trespassing to real property -- 100 block of Nanette Drive. The victim signed a nontraffic citation against Mark Barrientes, 28, for trespassing after prior notice not to be on her property. Barrientes was arrested, transported and held pending bond.

11:53 p.m. Damage to property, attempted burglary -- Shelter Shop, 19 Bellevue Plaza. A clerk at CVS reported an anonymous customer came in and stated that a window was broken out of the Shelter Shop. Officers responded and found the front glass door completely shattered out.

tuesday, july 31

12:12 a.m. Curfew violation -- East Main Street and Beth Ann Drive. Two juveniles were riding bicycles without any lighting. Both juveniles were arrested for curfew violation. Both were given a notice to appear and released to their respective parent.

4:14 a.m. Traffic stop, driving under the influence -- North Belt West and Westfield Plaza Drive. Jeffrey Koehler, 25, was arrested during a traffic stop after appearing to be intoxicated and failing field sobriety tests. Koehler was transported, booked and released after posting bond.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

MONDAY, JULY 30

Gregory L. Moore, 28, of 537 Alexandra Place, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful restraint, two counts of domestic battery on July 26 by East St. Louis police. Moore allegedly detained Yulonda Stewart in that he dragged her into the bedroom and told her that he would kill her if she tried to leave. Moore made physical contact of an insulting nature with Yulonda Y. Stewart, a family/household member in that said defendant knocked Yulonda Stewart's head into a cabinet and punched her in the face.

Henry Dang, 43, of 5449 Mardel, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of bribery on July 27 by Fairview Heights police. Dang allegedly with the intent to influence the performance of an act related to the employment of a public employee, investigator Joe Darnell, an investigator for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, tendered $300 U.S. currency to investigator Joe Darnell, to overlook health code violations, which currency investigator Joe Darnell was not authorized to accept.

Edmund A. Benn, 33, of 1107 St. Helena Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of six counts of aggravated battery and two counts of resisting a police officer. Benn allegedly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with Stella Camacho, pregnant person, in that he punched her in the chest with his fist, knocked her to the ground, caused bodily harm to Isaiah Camacho, a child under the age of 13, in that he struck him on the back, threw him down the hallway, struck him in the face multiple times and knowingly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with Officer Matthew Mason, in that he shoved Officer Mason knowing him to be a police officer engaged in the performance of his authorized duties, ran away from Officer Mason and shoved Officer Mason.

Johnnie L. Robinson Jr., 32, of 806 S. 46th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful failure to notify of a change of address as a sex offender on July 27 by St. Clair County sheriff. Robinson allegedly, a sex offender, knowingly failed to notify registering law enforcement law enforcement agency of change of address, in accordance with the provisions of the Sex Offender Registration act, with the Centreville Police Department within 3 days of change of his residence address.

Willie B. Cole, 19, of 450 N. 6th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary on July 26 by East St. Louis police. Cole allegedly entered into the dwelling place of Chenell Arnold, 450 N. 6th St., Apt. 3E, East St. Louis, with the intent to commit theft therein.

Joseph L. Griggs, 18, of 450 N. 6th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary on July 26 by East St. Louis police. Griggs allegedly entered into the dwelling place of Chenell Arnold, 450 N. 6th St., Apt. 3E, East St. Louis, with the intent to commit theft therein.

Keon L. Ivory, 24, of 1345 N. 47th St., Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to government supported property on July 29 by East St. Louis police. Ivory allegedly damaged, without the consent of the East St. Louis Housing Authority, the front entry door located at 1400 Missouri Ave., Apt. 29D, Orr Weathers Housing Complex, St. Clair County, East ST. Louis, which property is supported in whole or in part with Federal Funds administered or granted through state agencies without the consent of the State of Illinois, said damage not in excess of $500.

Torre C. Dilworth, 18, of 8900 Tanglewood, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of robbery on July 28 by Swansea police. Dilworth allegedly took property, being X-box 360S Console, model 1439, plus 3 games, 1 head set, 2 remotes, 1 X-box Kinect Sensor from Jesse Neumeyer, by the use of force.

Lamonte D. Morris, 18, of 3861 Winward Way, Swansea, arrested on suspicion of robbery on July 28 and 29 by Swansea police. Morris allegedly took property, being X-box 360S Console, model 1439, plus 3 games, 1 head set, 2 remotes, 1 X-box Kinect Sensor from Jesse Neumeyer, by the use of force.

Craig C. House, 28, of 3961 Aldine Ave., St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a controlled substance on July 30 by Illinois State Police. House allegedly carried on his person a .25-caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible and had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Daniel A. Rice, 28, of 3948 Michael John Drive, Swansea, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and two counts of driving under the influence on March 27 by Illinois State Police. Rice allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin; drove a black 1999 Jeep Cherokee on Illinois 159 in Caseyville, while there was an amount of a drug, substance or compound in his breath, blood or urine resulting from the unlawful use or consumption of heroin and methamphetamine.

Michael C. Chamberlin, 26, of 1822 Garden St., Swansea, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary on May 4 by Swansea police. Chamberlin allegedly entered into the dwelling place of Clara Fenton, 1811 Garden St., Swansea, with the intent to commit theft.

Latonya A. Smith, 38, of 5439 Rosemont, Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence on July 30 by St. Clair County sheriff. Smith allegedly drove a 2001 Red Ford Escape on Laura Lee Drive in Cahokia, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were suspended.

Michael J. Wright, 35, of 531 Golden, Centreville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery and aggravated assault on July 15 by St. Clair County sheriff. Wright allegedly in committing a battery, made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with Michael Lanzante, in that he spat on Michael Lanzante knowing Michael Lanzante to be a correctional institution employee engaged in the performance of his authorized duties; tried to stab Sean McPeak with a pencil, thereby placing Sean McPeak in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery, knowing Sean McPeak to be a correctional officer engaged in the performance if his authorized duties.

Elizabeth S. Hawthorne, 25, of 413 W. Pecan St., Carbondale, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on July 3 by Caseyville police. Hawthorne allegedly had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.

Dustin M. James, 26, of Swansea, arrested on suspicion of burglary by Swansea police.

Ontarrious K. Smith, 27, of Caseyville, X-box 360S Console, model 1439, plus 3 games, 1 head set, 2 remotes, 1 X-box Kinect Sensor from Jesse Neumeyer, by the use of force. All other disorderly conduct, interference with emergency equipment and obstructing justice by Caseyville police.

James E. Advise, 34, of Cincinnati, Ohio, arrested on suspicion of illegal transportation, suspended or revoked driver's license and traffic violation by Illinois State Police.
