BELLEVILLE POLICE
WEDNESDAY, AUG. 1
6:56 a.m. Criminal damage to property, attempted burglary to a vehicle -- 100 block of Gettysburg. The victim reported unknown person(s) damaged the windshield to her 2008 Dodge charger.
8:54 a.m. Burglary to a vehicle -- 800 block of North 39th Street. The vehicle owner/victim reported sometime in the last three days, unknown person(s) removed all four tires off of her vehicle that was parked at her residence.
10:12 a.m. Domestic battery -- First block of North 28th Street. The victim reported she was battered by her fiancee/suspect. The suspect was arrested, transported and held pending investigation.
10:16 a.m. Motor vehicle theft -- First block of Glenview Drive. The vehicle owner/victim reported he arrived home at 5 a.m. and parked his vehicle. At 6 a.m., his mother noticed the vehicle was missing.
11:25 a.m. Theft -- 1000 block of Belle Valley Drive. The victim reported between 9 a.m. and 11:25 a.m., while she was moving out she discovered property missing from her apartment.
2:25 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 200 block of Freedom Drive. The vehicle owner/victim reported he parked his vehicle last night and discovered this morning three of the tires on his vehicle were flattened by an unknown subject.
4:38 p.m. Disturbance, obstructing identification -- Wireless Advantage, 1 Wade Square. Officers responded for a report of a disturbance. On arrival officers located Quinton Evans, 18, who lied about his name. Evans was arrested, transported and held pending bond.
4:55 p.m. Disorderly conduct -- 100 block of North 18th Street. Officers responded to a residence for a report of a male subject with a gun on his front porch. Officers located Donnell Pattern, 42, intoxicated on his porch and an air soft gun lying in the doorway. He was arrested, transported and held for sobriety.
5:04 p.m. Theft by deception -- First block of South 75th Street. The victim reported on July 31 the suspect offered to do work on her car. The victim gave the suspect money for parts, but the suspect did not return to make the repairs.
5:21 p.m. Domestic battery -- First block of Rue De Ville. The victim reported his brother/suspect chased him and struck him several times. The victim and suspect's mother was on scene. The suspect was arrested, transported and released to his mother pending further investigation. The victim sustained minor injuries. DCFS was notified of the incident.
10:54 p.m. Residential burglary -- 2900 block of West Main Street. The victim reported between 10 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., unknown person(s) entered his residence and property was stolen.
THURSDAY, AUG. 2
12:52 a.m. Curfew violation -- 200 block of State Street. Officers responded to a report of a large group of juveniles in the area. Upon arrival several juveniles fled the area on foot. Juveniles on scene that did not run had field interview reports taken. Two juveniles that had fled were located and arrested. They were transported to headquarters, issued non traffic citations and released to a family member.
1:36 a.m. Burglary -- Foster Automotive, 3501 W. Main St. Officers responded to an alarm that was activated at the business. Officers a window on the east side of the building that was broken. The owner arrived and the business was checked. Nothing appeared to be missing. The suspects fled the area.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
THURSDAY, AUG. 2
Myron R. Doss, 22, of 1519 N. Thunderbird Lane, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on July 31 by Belleville police. Doss allegedly possessed in a vehicle, a gun, a revolver, at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, legal dwelling or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had not been issued a current FOID Card.
Lamar D. Brown, 22 of 426 N. 24th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery on July 13 by Cahokia police. Brown allegedly in committing domestic battery, knowingly choked Tamekia Allen, a family/household member, in that said defendant applied pressure to Tamekia Allen's neck with his hands thereby impeding the breathing/circulation of Tamekia Allen.
Raevon D. Mayberry, 22, of 8 Helen Court, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of criminal sexual assault and two counts of residential burglary on July 29 by Shiloh police. Mayberry allegedly committed an act of sexual assault with Jasmine Glast and entered into the dwelling place of Jasmine Glast, 13 Yorkshire Lane, Apt. 7, Shiloh, and remained within the dwelling place, with the intent to commit theft therein.
John P. Williams Jr., 22, of 315 Edna Drive, O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of burglary on Aug. 1 by O'Fallon police. Williams allegedly entered a 1998 Nissan Maxima of Brent Krohn, with the intent to commit theft therein.
Lamont L. Glover, 17, of 1624 N. 50th St., Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicular hijacking on July 31 by Metro East Auto Theft Task Force. Glover allegedly took a motor vehicle, a 2000 4-door, red Mitsubishi Mirage, from John L. Gage, while the defendant was armed with a dangerous weapon, a Sterling .25 Auto.
Edwin J. Renth II, 19, of 209 N. 14th St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of burglary and criminal damage to property on July 31 by Belleville police. Renth allegedly entered a building, The New Freedom Church, a place of worship, 2301 W. Main St., Belleville, with the intent to commit a felony therein; damaged property, damage in excess of $300.
Marnika L. Cavitt, 20, of 365 Winchester Place, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and theft on June 4 by Miscellaneous Agencies. Cavitt allegedly had in her possession a substance containing alprazolam and hydrocodone. Cavitt allegedly took possession of property from Schnuck's Pharmacy, being bottles of hydrocodone and alprazolam, total value not in excess of $500.
Ahmad J. Jones, 22, of 25 St. Lambert Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Aug. 1 by Centreville police. Jones allegedly carried in a vehicle, at a time when he was not on his own land or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and the firearm and ammunition for the weapon was immediately accessible.
Robert A. Hopkins, 20k, of 1823 N. 45th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of first degree murder and home invasion on Jan. 22 by East St. Louis police. Hopkins allegedly while committing a forcible felony, home invasion, caused the death of Christopher Rush. Hopkins, while committing the offense of home invasion, entered the dwelling place of Markes Pruitt, 805 N. 79th St., East St. Louis, knowing or having reason to know that one or more persons to be present within that dwelling place and intentionally caused injury to Donnie Burns in that defendant struck Donnie Burns in the head with a blunt instrument.
Jeremy M. Smith, 19, of 1829 N. 43rd St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of first degree murder and home invasion on Jan. 22, by East St. Louis police. Smith allegedly while committing a forcible felony, home invasion, caused the death of Christopher Rush. MADISON COUNTY FELONIES
THURSDAY, AUG. 2
Marcus A. Baldwin, 20, of 1024 Alton Pointe, Alton, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder in a case investigated by Alton Police and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit. Baldwin is accused of killing Dantavier M. Thompson, 19, of 2214 Elizabeth St. in Alton, who was shot in the head Saturday night.
Marcus D. Thornton, 33, of 351 Attucks Drive, Kirksville, Mo., was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of weapons by a felon, two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm and two counts of aggravated unlawful use of weapons in a case investigated by the Madison County Sheriff's Department and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit. Thornton, a convicted felon, was allegedly involved in a family dispute Wednesday at a business in the 5500 block of Dial Drive near Granite City in which shots were fired. No one was injured.
