BELLEVILLE POLICE
THURSDAY, AUG. 2
11:42 a.m. Disorderly conduct -- 700 block of Lebanon Avenue. Holly Eads, 44, and Brandy Wood, 33, were arrested after fighting with each other. Both were issued non traffic citations and released from the scene with a notice to appear.
12:50 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 100 block of Rosette. The vehicle owner/victim reported sometime overnight, while parked at her residence unknown person(s) damaged the rear window of her vehicle.
12:51 p.m. Theft -- St. Louis Bread Co., 113 E. Main St. The victim reported she left her wallet at the business and when she returned it could not be located.
2:41 p.m. Theft -- 700 block of East Adams. The victim reported between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., property was removed from her residence by her son/suspect without her permission.
6:25 p.m. Animal cruelty -- 300 block of West Cleveland. Officers responded to a report of animal cruelty in which a neighbor discovered a deceased dog in the backyard of a residence. Further investigation showed neglect. The animal's owner/suspect was not present on scene. A nontraffic citation was signed against the suspect. Animal Control arrived and took custody of a second dog that was on the premises.
7:59 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of a controlled substance -- 100000 block of West Main Street. The driver and passenger were arrested during a traffic stop when officers discovered a controlled substances in their possession. Both suspects were transported, booked and transported to the St. Clair County Jail and held pending further investigation.
8:20 p.m. Traffic stop, unlawful use of a weapon -- 4000 block of North Belt West. The driver and passenger were arrested during a traffic stop after officers discovered a loaded handgun inside the vehicle. Both suspects were transported and held pending further investigation.
9:43 p.m. Disorderly conduct -- 200 block of Freedom Drive. Brushawn Hopkins, 24, was arrested after he chased the victim and broke out a window in his own residence during the disturbance. Hopkins was transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor cuts from the window and was then taken into custody. Hopkins was transported and released with a notice to appear.
FRIDAY, AUG. 3
1:39 a.m. Traffic stop, aggravated driving under the influence -- Paterson Court and Mascoutah Avenue. The driver was arrested during a traffic stop after she appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. Officers discovered she was driving on a suspended license for a previous DUI charge. The suspect was transported and held pending further investigation.

friday, aug. 3
William G. Harvie, 40, of 8 N. 28th St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery of a child under 13 years of age and bodily harm and domestic battery on Aug. 1 by Belleville police. Harvie allegedly caused bodily harm of a child in that he grabbed her by the neck and shoved her. Harvie made physical contact of an insulting nature with Marie A. Wicker, a family/household member, in that defendant grabbed her by the arms and pushed her.
Fernandez M. White Jr., 19, of 111 St. Dorothy Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of robbery on July 6 by Centreville police. White allegedly took property, being U.S. currency, one watch, one ID card, one hat, one cellular phone from the person of Keenen Lawson, by the use of force.
Jeremy V. Willis, 20, of 6900 W. Main St., Apt. 12, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of robbery on July 6 by Centreville police. Willis allegedly took property, being U.S. currency, one watch, one ID card, one hat, one cellular phone, from the person of Keenen Lawrence by the use of force.
Kimberly A. Hoerz, 25, of 408 University Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on Aug. 3 by Belleville police. Hoerz allegedly drove a 2006 Cadillac STS on Mascoutah Avenue in Belleville, while under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were suspended.
Cortez D. Beard, 21, of 950 N. 89th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery, discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, subsequent offense on Aug. 1 by East St. Louis police. Beard allegedly by committing a battery and by means of discharging a firearm caused an injury to Makeela Renee King in that defendant shot Makeela King in the buttocks with an assault weapon. Beard allegedly carried on/about his person an assault weapon at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant has been previously convicted of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon on Nov. 5, 2010.
Markee L. Wilson, 29, of 2021 Rhodes St., Madison, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Aug. 2 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Wilson allegedly had in his possession more than 15 grams but less than 100 grams of a substance containing cocaine.
Brown, William D., 49, of 560 N. 29th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated domestic battery on Aug. 1 by East St. Louis police. Brown allegedly in committing domestic battery, knowingly strangled Dariene Brown, a family/household member, by grabbing Darlene Brown's neck with his hands thereby impeding her normal breathing; intentionally impeded the circulation of blood of Darlene Brown by applying pressure on her throat with a knife.
Deshaune K. Porter, 15, of 1659 N. 61st St., Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a victim under 9 years of age and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault by force on a victim 9-13 years of age on July 26 by Washington Park police. Porter allegedly, who was under the age of 17, committed an act of sexual assault with a female minor, date of birth May 10, 2000, by threatening the use of force.
Demarkus Kidd, 16, of 1659 N. 61st St., Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a victim under 9 years of age and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault by force on a victim 9-13 years of age on July 26 by Washington Park police. Kidd allegedly, who was under the age of 17, committed an act of sexual assault with a female minors, date of birth, Sept. 4, 2006, Dec. 21, 2005, May 10, 2000.
