There was a shuffling of front office positions Tuesday by the St. Louis Blues.
General Manager Doug Armstrong announced that Dave Taylor was named Vice President of Hockey Operations and Al MacInnis was named Senior Advisor to the General Manager.
In two additional moves, Rob DiMaio was named the new Director of Pro Scouting, with Kevin McDonald relinquishing that role and remaining assistant general manager of the Blues and general manager of the Blues' top farm team, the Peoria Rivermen.
Taylor has been with the Blues since July, 2010 and was the team's Director of Player Personnel the past two seasons. He spent nine seasons as GM with the Los Angeles Kings and also worked in a front office capacity in Dallas from 2007 to 2010.
MacInnis, the Hall of Fame defenseman, has been the Blues' Vice President of Hockey Operations since November, 2006.
McDonald has been with the Blues since joining the organization as a scout in 2001-02. He has been Peoria's GM since 2005 and assistant GM of the Blues since 2009.
DiMaio was hired as a Blues scout in 2008 following his 17-year playing career. The club said he would work closely with Armstrong to oversee the Blues' professional scouting.
