Collinsville council set to vote on new chief's contract

The Collinsville City Council is expected to vote on a contract for a new city police chief at its meeting Monday evening.

Eric Van Hook, a captain with the O'Fallon Police Department, has been selected to fill the role of police chief to replace departing chief Scott Williams. Williams has been promoted to city manager for Collinsville.

Council members are also expected to vote on the salaries of non-union city personnel at the Monday evening meeting.

The meeting is held at 7:30 p.m. at city hall at 125 S. Center St. in Collinsville.
