GOP Congressional Candidates to hold press conference on flood levees

Jason Plummer, the GOP nominee for the 12th U.S. House seat, and Rodney Davis, the GOP nominee for the 13th U.S. House seat, have scheduled a press conference for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park, 185 W. Trendley Ave., East St. Louis.

Plummer and Davis plan to speak about the importance of maintaining and improving flood levees in the metro-east and nationwide.

Plummer, an O'Fallon businessman, is facing Bill Enyart, a Belleville lawyer, and Paula Bradshaw, a Carbondale nurse, in the Nov. 6 election for a seat that represents 12 Southerrn Illinois counties.

Davis, of Taylorville, is vying with Dr. David Gill, an emergency room physician from Bloomington, to represent the 13th House District, which stretches from Madison County to Champaign County, and includes Edwardsville and Collinsville.
