BELLEVILLE POLICE
SUNDAY, SEPT. 2
10:20 p.m. Fighting --1700 block of Shadowridge Court. Steven Huskey, 25, was arrested after fighting with the victim. Huskey was transported and released after posting bond.
10:22 p.m. Drunkenness -- 1100 block of Dawn Drive. Michael Whittaker, 23, was arrested after being located intoxicated in the roadway. Whittaker was transported and held pending sobriety.
10:41 p.m. Hit and run with a pedestrian struck -- 8700 block of West Main Street. Officers responded to a report of a hit and run in which a pedestrian/victim was struck as he was crossing the street. The unidentified vehicle left the scene in an easterly direction. The victim was conscious and speaking to officers on scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
11:13 p.m. Drunkenness, obstructing a peace officer -- Schatze's Bar, 2301 W. Main St. Amanda Serrano, 39, was arrested after being allegedly being intoxicated, being belligerent and refusing to follow officers' orders. Serrano was transported and held pending bond.
11:30 p.m. Failure to comply -- 1300 block of West Main Street. Steven Tiller, 45, was arrested when officers responded to a report of a disturbance and he refused to comply with officers orders to exit the residence. Tiller was transported and held pending bond.
11:50 p.m. Battery -- 200 block of Mascoutah Avenue. The victims reported being battered by several males in front of the residence. The suspects were gone on arrival. The victims were extremely intoxicated and one of the victims was transported to an area hospital for treatment for injuries.
MONDAY, SEPT. 3
4:43 a.m. Traffic stop, driving under the influence -- South Belt West and South 11th Street. Danielle Martin, 23, was arrested during a traffic stop after appearing to be intoxicated and failing field sobriety tests. Martin was transported and released after posting bond.
8:16 a.m. Disorderly conduct -- 800 block of Portland Avenue. The victim reported sometime between 2 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., someone egged his residence and vehicle. The victim stated this occurred on the previous night also.
8:46 a.m. Criminal damage to vehicle -- 700 block of South Church Street. The victim reported between Sept. 1 and Dept. 3, someone damaged the front passenger window of his vehicle while it was parked in his carport.
10:56 a.m. Criminal damage to vehicle -- 1500 block of North Charles Street. Witnesses observed the suspect damage the victim's Dodge Charger by scratching the hood with a knife and hitting it with a landscaping rock. The suspect was on scene. He was arrested, transported, and held pending possible felony charges.
1:43 p.m. Disorderly conduct -- 200 block of Freedom Drive. Raeshonda Andrews-Woods, 32, and Lutanya M. Martin, 39, allegedly engaged in a fight over a disagreement between their daughters. Both were issued nontraffic citations for fighting and released on scene with a notice to appear.
10:45 p.m. Traffic stop, contributing to delinquency of a minor -- 600 block of North Illinois Street. Stephen Vail, 33, was arrested during a traffic stop after officers found open alcohol and a highly intoxicated 19-year-old female passed out in his vehicle. The female was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Vail was transported and released after posting bond.
11:44 p.m. Drunkenness, resisting arrest, aggravated battery to a police officer, fleeing, criminal damage to state supported property -- 1000 block of Belle Valley Drive. The suspect was arrested when he resisted officers attempting to take him into custody for public intoxication during a disturbance call. The suspect pulled away from officers attempting to place him in a patrol car and attempted to flee. Officers caught the suspect, who actively fought with them, forcing officers to use Tasers. The Tasers subsequently had no effect on the suspect and officers had to wrestle and fight with him until they were able to get him in the patrol car. Once inside the patrol car, the suspect proceeded to kick the window of the patrol vehicle, damaging the rear door frame. The suspect was then transported where EMS responded. The suspect was transported to an area hospital for treatment then released back into police custody. The suspect was held pending further investigation.
Tuesday, Sept. 4
7:07 a.m. Residential burglary -- First block of Stratford Way. The victim reported between Aug. 31 and Sept. 4, someone made entry to her residence through an unlocked window, the residence was in disarray and property was taken.
8:57 a.m. Theft -- 400 block of Mascoutah Avenue. The victim reported between Aug. 28 and Aug. 30, property was taken from the carport of her residence.
3:47 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- First block of North Ninth Street. The victim reported his son, Nathan A. Bush, 30, damaged a window at his residence. Bush was arrested, transported and released with a notice to appear.
6:10 p.m. Burglary to residence -- 300 block of South Jackson Street. The victim reported someone forced entry to her residence through a window and stole multiple items.
6:46 p.m. Attempted burglary to residence -- First block of Queensway. The victim reported discovering multiple windows damaged on his vacant residence and garage.
7:04 p.m. Drunkenness -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. Guy Mitchell, 51, was arrested when officers allegedly discovered him intoxicated at Walmart. Mitchell was transported and held pending sobriety.
7:59 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 800 block of South Seventh Street. The victim reported discovering the cellar door to her residence had been forced open.
9:17 p.m. Burglary -- 7100 block of West A Street. The victim reported he arrived home and discovered an unknown black male riding his blue Huffy bicycle out of his garage and fleeing the scene. The victim attempted to block the suspect in with his vehicle and the suspect dropped his bike and fled on foot. The suspect was last seen in the 7000 block of West Main Street.
10:52 p.m. Warrant arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia -- 300 block of West F Street. Sheila Lee, 35, was arrested for an outstanding warrant from St. Clair County and transported to the St. Clair County Jail. On arrival to St. Clair County Jail, Lee was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Lee was transported and held pending bond.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT 5
2:56 a.m. Armed robbery -- West Main Street and Ninth Street. The victim reported he was riding his bike to a friend's house when an unknown black male suspect grabbed him from behind, pulled him off his bike, and held what the victim through was a knife to his neck. The suspect took U.S. currency from the victim and fled the area. Further investigation pending.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
TUESDAY, SEPT. 4
Jajuan A. Gardner, 31, of 1235 McCasland Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of three counts of aggravated battery on Sept. 3 by Cahokia police. Gardner allegedly was in the roadway of the 1500 block of Camp Jackson Road, a public roadway, allegedly made physical contact of a provoking nature with Angel Lyons, in that he threw her to the ground, struck her in the head with his elbow, tore her clothes from her body.
Martrell D. Hand, 23, of 10 St. Ann Circle, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Sept. 2 by St. Clair County sheriff. Hand allegedly carried on his person a .22 caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had not been issued a valid FOID Card.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 5
Benjamin J. Hoffeditz, 22, of 133 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with intent to deliver cannabis, driving under the influence Monday by St. Clair County sheriff. Hoffeditz allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis, drove a black 2003 Honda on Illinois 159 in Swansea, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol.
Nicholas S. Crumble, 19, of 10236 Tanner Drive, Chesterfield, Mo., arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property, mob action Monday by Swansea police. Crumble allegedly damaged property of Kurtavia White, a motor vehicle, a blue 1994 Toyota Camry, at 270 Marcella Dr., damage in excess of $300, allegedly by use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he while acting together with Airiell Garrett and Jasmine James, caused damage to Kurtavia White's motor vehicle.
Airiell M. Garrett, 19, of 260 Marcella Drive, Swansea, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property, mob action, resisting a peace officer on Monday by Swansea police. Garrett allegedly damaged propertyof Kurtavia White, a motor vehicle, a blue 1994 Toyota Camry, at 270 Marcella Drive, damage in excess of $300; allegedly, by use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he while acting together with Nicholas Crumble and Jasmine James, caused damage to Kurtavia White's motor vehicle; allegedly resisted the performance of Peter Wszalek of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Garrett, knowing Wszalek to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that she refused to be handcuffed.
Jasmine C. James, 22, of 209 Costellano, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property, mob action Monday by Swansea police. James allegedly damaged property of Kurtavia White, a motor vehicle, a blue 1994 Toyota Camry, at 270 Marcella Drive, said damage in excess of $300; allegedly, by the use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he while acting together with Nicholas Crumble and Airiell M. Garrett caused damage to Kurtavia White's motor vehicle.
Stacy L. Stevens, 47, of 2438 Donna Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of possession of burglary tools Monday by Cahokia police. Stevens allegedly possessed a flashlight, bolt cutters, wire cutters and gloves, suitable for use in breaking into a building, with the intent to enter any such place and with intent to commit theft therein.
Drew A. Johnson, 47, of Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of theft subsequent on Sept. 3 by Cahokia police. Johnson allegedly took property from Daniel Eckhard, being snow blowers, total value in excess of $500. Defendant had been previously convicted of burglary on Feb. 4, 2003.
Jeremy J. Arnold, 31, of 246 W. School St., Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of mob action on or about Aug. 4 by Mascoutah police. Arnold allegedly and by the use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he kicked and punched Matt Morton and Brandon Scott, inflicting injury to them.
Christopher W. Clark, 24, of 1401 Wabash Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of mob action on or about Aug. 4 by Mascoutah police. Clark allegedly and by the use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he kicked and punched Matt Morton and Brandon Scott, thereby inflicting injury to them.
Timothy J. Haas, 22, of 911 W. Corrington St., Mascoutah, arrested on suspicion of mob action, obstructing justice on or about Aug. 4 by Mascoutah police. Haas allegedly and by the use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he kicked and punched Matt Morton and Brandon Scott, thereby inflicting injury to them; allegedly furnished false information to Detective. Lambert, a police officer, in that he denied any participation in a fight which occurred at Khoury league baseball field, in Mascoutah.
Kalvin D. Thomas, 17, of 1130 Dawn Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of mob action on or about Aug. 4 by Mascoutah police. Thomas allegedly and by the use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he kicked and punched Matt Morton and Brandon Scott, thereby inflicting injury to them.
Jessie M. Tourville, 19, of 116 E. Jackson St., O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of mob action on or about Aug. 4 by Mascoutah police. Tourville allegedly and by the use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he kicked and punched Matt Morton and Brandon Scott, thereby inflicting injury to them.
Kevin V. Tourville, 22, of 1713 W. Highway 50, Lot 101, O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of mob action on or about Aug. 4 by Mascoutah police. Tourville allegedly and by the use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he kicked and punched Matt Morton and Brandon Scott, thereby inflicting injury to them.
Lentony L. Traylor, 19, of 137 San Mateo Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of mob action on or about Aug. 4 by Mascoutah police. Traylor allegedly and by the use of force and violence, disturbed the public peace in that he kicked and punched Matt Morton and Brandon Scott, thereby inflicting injury to them.
Eric N. Davis, 33, of 904 Lebanon Ave., Apt. 3, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated battery, criminal damage to government supported property, resisting a peace officer on Monday by Belleville police. Davis allegedly made physical contact of a provoking nature with Aaron Hackleman, in that he kicked Aaron Hackleman and John Mayville with his leg knowing Hackleman and Mayville to be peace officers engaged in the performance of their authorized duties; allegedly damaged, a Belleville Police Department police car, a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria, at Belle Valley Drive, in Belleville, which property is supported in part with city of Belleville money, said damage in excess of $500; allegedly resisted the performance of Hackleman of an authorized act within his official capacity, knowing Hackleman to be a peace officer engaged in he execution of his official duties, in that he refused to be handcuffed and the actions were the proximate cause of injury to Hackleman.
Demarrio T. Williams, 28, of 425 N. 21st St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, subsequent offense on Sept. 3 by East St. Louis police. Williams allegedly carried on his person a .38-caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had been previously convicted of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Oct. 5, 2005.
