Police are currently on the lookout for a robber who held up a Lebanon bank just before 2 p.m. Friday.
The robber, who was wearing a clown mask and displaying a shotgun, robbed the First Federal Savings Bank of Mascoutah's Lebanon branch located at 115 S. Madison St.
Police released the following description of the suspect: a person wearing a clown mask, an off-white shirt, charcoal gray sweat pants and blue high-top shoes with white stripes who was last seen leaving the area in a black car. The suspect's race or gender is unknown at this time.
The Lebanon bank robbery marked the second time a First Federal Savings bank in the metro-east was robbed this week.
Two armed men robbed the New Baden branch located at 1200 E. Hanover St. on Tuesday morning. The suspects remain at large in the New Baden robbery.
