BELLEVILLE POLICE

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 5

5:20 p.m. Residential burglary, motor vehicle theft -- 3900 block of Shirley Drive. The victim reported sometime last night, someone entered his residence, took his property and his car.

6:22 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- First block of Columbus. The victim reported sometime Tuesday night, someone entered his unlocked vehicle and property was stolen.

6:45 a.m. Traffic stop, driving under the influence -- 1800 block of Freeburg. After receiving a report of a vehicle all over the roadway, officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Jamie Lilley, 33, was arrested after appearing to be intoxicated and failing field sobriety tests. Lilley was transported and released after posting bond.

10:28 a.m. Battery -- 300 block of North 11th Street. The victim reported he drank a large amount of alcohol while visiting friends the night before and alleged at some point he was eat up by several subjects at the residence.

7:26 p.m. Theft -- Althoff, 5401 W. Main St. The victim reported U.S. currency was taken from an unsecured gym locker.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 6

12:45 a.m. Burglary to residence -- 300 block of North 41st Street. The victim reported between 1:10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., his prescription medications were taken from his residence.

10:24 a.m. Criminal damage to property -- 7600 block of West Main Street. The victims reported that sometime last night, someone damaged their vehicles.

11:47 a.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis -- First block of North 37th Street. The driver, Donnell L. Bergman, 25, was arrested during a traffic stop after being found in possession of cannabis. Bergman was transported and released after posting bond.

12:06 p.m. Graffiti -- Belleville Optometrists, 22 N. Jackson. Sometime overnight, someone used a black marker to write graffiti on the rear door of the business.

12:15 p.m. Counterfeit currency --Moto Mart, 701 W. Main St. On Sept. 5, employees took a $50 bill that was counterfeit from an unknown white male for a purchase.

12:25 p.m. Criminal trespass -- 700 block of Lee Drive. The victim reported she arrived home and believed granddaughter's boyfriend has possibly been in the residence without her permission.

2:31 p.m. Fraud -- 100 block of North 27th Street. The victim reported during the last month, her daughter/suspect has allegedly been using her Social Security benefits without her permission.

2:38 p.m. Graffiti -- Curt Smith Sporting Goods, 213 E. Main St. Sometime overnight, someone use a black marker to write graffiti on the building.

3:03 p.m. Criminal trespass -- 1000 block of Belle Valley. The victim reported he woke up at 3 p.m. to find her ex-boyfriend/suspect standing over her in her bed. The suspect left without incident when the victim stated she was calling the police.

3:53 p.m. Retail theft -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. Stephen Bennett, 19, was concealing merchandise and leaving the store without paying for it. Bennett was transported and held pending bond.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 7

12:17 a.m. Traffic stop, driving under the influence -- Mascoutah and Green Mount. Scott A. Hushel, 46, was arrested during a traffic stop after appearing to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. Huschel was transported and released after posting bond.

3:52 a.m. Traffic accident, possible driving under the influence -- Illinois 161 and Frank Scott Parkway West. Officers responded to a traffic accident in which one vehicle struck a traffic control device and utility pole. The driver appeared to be intoxicated. The driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Pending further investigation.

ST. CALIR COUNTY FELONIES

THURSDAY, SEPT. 6

Darmeze M. Fenderson, 31, of 424 Circle Road, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Feb. 9 by Illinois State Police. Fenderson allegedly carried in a vehicle, a .40 caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had been previously convicted of unlawful possession of cannabis on Feb. 7, 2011.

Loroy M. Harper, 24, of 614 N. 38th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Feb. 2 by Illinois State Police. Harper allegedly carried on his person a .380-caliber pistol at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased. loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had not been issued a currrent firearm owner's identification.

Torcus L. Boone Jr., 20, of 1828 Tudor Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on March 28 by Illinois State Police. Boone allegedly carried in a vehicle a .9 mm handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had not been issued a current firearm owner's identification.

Tusona D. Brown, 2404 Gilrose, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery, resisting a peace officer on Aug. 22 by Illinois State Police. Brown allegedly in committing battery, made physical contact of a provoking nature with Chris Lutz, in that he pushed Chris with his hands, knowing Lutz to be a peace officer; knowingly resisted the performance of Chris Lutz of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Tusona Brown, knowing Lutz to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he ran from Lutz and refused to be handcuffed and the actions of the defendant were the proximate cause of the injury to Lutz.

Trisha L. Starks, 34, of 229 N. Clinton, Apt. 2, Collinsville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, driving on a revoked license on June 25 by Fairview Heights police. Starks allegedly had in her possession a substance containing Hydrododone; drove a gray 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass on North Illinois Street in Fairview Heights, at a time when defendant's driver's license.

Kateedra S. Weary, 31, of 518 N. 79th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated fleeing or attempting, retail theft to elude a police officer on Sept. 5 by O'Fallon police. Weary allegedly drove a gray 2006 Chevrolet, was given a visual sign by a police officer, B. Thomas, who was i police uniform and driving a vehicle which displayed illuminated, oscillating, rotating or flashing red or blue lights which when used in conjunction with an audible horn or siren would indicate the vehicle to be an official police vehicle, directing Kateedra S. Weary to bring said gray 2006 Chevrolet to a stop, willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer and while fleeing traveled at a rate of speed 21 mph over the legal speed limit; took possession of merchandise without paying from Walmart, 1530 W. Highway 50, O'Fallon, being sweatpants, T-shirts and other merchandise, total retail value not in excess of $300.

Jacquelynn I. Williams, 18, of 2902 W. Main St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property, mob action on Sept. 3 by Swansea police. Williams allegedly damaged property of Kurtavia L. White, a motor vehicle, a blue 1994 Toyota Camry, located at 270 Marcella Drive, Swansea, said damage in excess of $300; knowingly disturbed the public peace in that she caused damage to Kurtavia White's motor vehicle, a blue 1994 Toyota Camry.
