Retired Dupo High School football coach Gary Mauser will be the guest speaker on Frida at the Belleville Area Senior Men's Sports Group meeting.
Inducted into the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2004, Mauser coached Dupo to 16 state playoff appearances and five trips to the semifinals during 20 seasons. His combined record from 1980-94 and 1997-2001 was 133-61.
An all-state prep football quarterback and baseball outfielder-first baseman at Belleville West (1972-73), Mauser graduated from McKendree University in 1977.
