Triad football standout Medved racking up incredible numbers

Triad High running back Trevor Medved, the News-Democrat’s Week 2 Football Player of the Week, racked up another superlative performance on Saturday.
Medved exploded for 252 yards rushing on just seven carries and scored four touchdowns in the Knights’ 37-7 victory over Mount Vernon.
Medved caught a 61-yard TD pass from Jason Barbour and scored on TD runs of 81, 46 and 41 yards — all in the first half.
The 6-foot, 199-pound senior ranks second in the entire St. Louis area in rushing with 597 yards on 26 carries, an average of 23 yards per carry. He’s also tied for second in the region in scoring with 10 touchdowns, catching two TD passes.
