Qualifications: I bring a broad knowledge of education issues due to serving several years in the education field. I also have a service background of working with individuals with mental and physical handicaps. These along with my current service as a state representative gives me a unique set of qualifications to continue serving the citizens of Illinois.

Top issues: I believe the No. 1 issue this year and for the coming years is paying down the debt. If we do not pay down our debt we will continue to see a loss of jobs and decline in quality of living for our citizens. We need to get our providers paid on a regular basis so they can continue to give the services our citizens so desperately need. Addressing these issues will help us bring back jobs to the area, which is the only way to help solve our continuing budget crisis.
