Qualifications: I am a CPA with years of experience in accounting, auditing, and finance. Currently the auditor's office is one of the most expensive offices in the state, outspending St. Clair County by 65 percent or $243,000 in 2011. In 2011 the office had the same number of full-time employees as the auditor from Cook County. I will hold independence in highest regard. I will reject a pension as it is underfunded by $45 million. I will not accept or solicit gifts or tickets from vendors of the county.
Top issues: Madison County deserves an auditor with the qualifications and independence needed to fulfill the duties of the office as required by the law. I will be a working auditor and not just another public official.
