Qualifications: I am an attorney, mother of two and run a law firm with my father, Russ Meyer. Born and raised in Alton, I have strong Midwestern values and have practiced law in Madison County and across the country for more than 15 years. I hold law licenses in four states. Being a sixth generation citizen of Madison County, raising my children here and representing my clients has given me great understanding of the needs of our citizens. As an attorney I am uniquely qualified to protect our citizens from fraud and improper recording of land documents and I have the management skills to run a transparent office, while providing first-class service to our patrons, without the use of taxpayer funds.

Top issues: Strong qualified leadership is needed. This office runs on fees, yet it has unnecessarily cut jobs for county workers, cut services and programs, outsourced work to another state and through poor management subjected the recorder's office to a lawsuit with allegations of discriminatory firing and misappropriation of funds or tip-taking by employees.
