A Smithton woman was found dead in the hot tub at her residence at 5656 Sand Rock Road at just after 8 a.m. Thursday.
The victim is Sandra Deitz, 50, St. Clair County Coroner Rick Stone said.
"Apparently her husband, when he awoke this morning didn't see her and went looking for her," Stone said. "He walked out back and found her in the hot tub."
Stone said there will be an autopsy conducted Friday.
