Qualifications: I have excelled in numerous positions of management and leadership including the U. S. Air Force, a major supermarket chain, the Transportation Security Administration and at a local retail business. I also helped my wife with the administration of her small business in St. Clair County. I understand budgets, Tax Increment Financing, P-TELL and other aspects of county programs and financing.
Top issues: The county board needs to be more transparent by posting meeting dates, times, agendas and minutes promptly. Board members need adequate time to study new proposals before needing to vote on them. MidAmerica Airport needs to be re-evaluated and a study needs to be done to determine its real profit potential and service for the citizens. The support of the East St. Louis Board of Elections needs to be re-evaluated to determine if it provides the best election services for St. Clair County citizens.
