Qualifications: My qualifications for the office of Clinton County circuit clerk are my college education, diverse work background in two demanding professions -- sportswriting and teaching -- and my ability to deal with the public in a courteous, friendly, people-pleasing manner.
Top issues: I believe the top issue in the race for Clinton County circuit clerk is treating people who use the office in a courteous, friendly manner. Under my leadership, the office would adhere to the Golden Rule: Treat people like you want to be treated. Improving customer service would be a top priority. Another issue is the modernization of the office and incorporating new technology to ease administrative costs. Being fiscally conservative and working with the County Board to stay within a limited budget, and working with the existing staff to determine the needs of the office are other important issues in this race.
