About 32,000 people in the metro-east are without power in an outage that includes Swansea, east Belleville and parts of Collinsville.

A total of 14,390 customers in zip code 62226 in Belleville and Swansea are without electricity and 14,403 in zip code 62234 which covers Collinsville are without power. Another 4,436 are without electricity in another outage in the Bethalto area.

According to Ameren Illinois, the outage runs from south 59th Street in the west past Illinois 158 toward Mascoutah in the east , north to Frank Scott Parkway and south near Freeburg along Illinois 13.
