An Edwardsville man is facing a felony charge of criminal damage to property after a rampage in a bar.
The Madison County Sheriff's Department was called at 1:47 a.m. Sunday to Leroy's Bar at 7243 St. James Drive with a report of a disturbance. When deputies arrived they found a hole punched in a wall, several tables turned over, a patio umbrella broken and a door bent. The owner told deputies Lance R. Gardner, 23 of 7239 St. James Road, was responsible for the damage. A patron told investigators that Garner pushed him to the floor.
Deputies located Gardner in his apartment at the rear of the Bar. He was taken into custody after deputies found two glass pipes used for the consumption of cannabis inside his residence.
Gardner was also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct.
Bond was set at $15,000 by Judge James Hackett.
