The Washington County Sheriff's Department is investigating the discovery of a body Tuesday on Interstate 64 near Okawville.
The body has not been identified and the cause of death is still being determined, according to the sheriff's department.
This marked the second time a body was found near Okawville in the last three weeks.
An autopsy on the body was scheduled for Wednesday. More information is expected to be released following the autopsy.
A body discovered on Sept. 23 along I-64 near Okawville has been identified as Kelvin Swingler, Jr. 29, of St. Louis, according to Washington County Coroner Mark Styninger.
Styninger has ruled Swingler's death a homicide. Swingler was reported missing by his mother on Aug. 25, according to police.
Washington County Sheriff's Department is continuing to investigate Swingler's death in cooperation with the St. Louis Metro Police Department.
