Plummer to discuss Scott Air Force Base

Published: October 10, 2012

Jason Plummer, the GOP nominee for the 12th U.S. House District seat, will hold a news conference at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Scott Field Heritage Air Park at Scott Air Force Base with U.S. Rep. John Shimkus, R-Collinsville, and U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill.

They will speak on the Illinois Congressional Delegation’s commitment to protecting Scott Air Force Base.

Plummer, 30, a Fairview Heights real estate developer, is competing with Bill Enyart, 63, a Belleville attorney and former Illinois National Guard commander, and Green Party nominee Paula Bradshaw, 59, a Carbondale emergency room nurse, in the Nov. 6 election. The three are vying to replace U.S. Rep. Jerry Costello, D-Belleville, who is retiring after 24 years in office.
