The Madison County Coroner's Office released the name of a 25-year-old man found in an Alton home on Friday.
Nathaniel J. Huie, 25, of 12 E. Delmar Ave. in Alton, was found in the family home after a parent called 911 Friday morning to report Huie was in distress.
Huie was transported to an Alton hospital, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Alton police said Friday that they believed Huie died as a result of an overdose. A syringe and capsules believed to contain heroin were found at the scene, police said.
