Otho (Boots) and Mabeth (Maizie) Sykes of Columbia celebrated their 70th anniversary on Oct. 20, 2012 with a cake & punch reception at Meadow Ridge Club House in Columbia, IL.

Otho Sykes and the former Mabeth Stein were married on Oct. 25, 1942 in Union, MO.

Boots was the owner of the Korner Grill & Burger Bar in Cahokia, IL and drove a school bus for District 187.

Maizie was the co-owner of the Korner Grill & Burger Bar. Both are members of Maplewood Church of Christ in Cahokia, IL.

They have 1 child: John (Linda) Sykes of Columbia, IL.

They have 1 grandchild: Walter (Jennifer) Sykes of Viera, FL.
