The St. Clair County Sheriff's Department has shot down talk of a UFO over the Millstadt area earlier this week.

Several residents called the sheriff's offices in St. Clair and Monroe counties Tuesday night to report an object in the sky that didn't fly like an aircraft, that changed colors and that seemed to be enveloped in a haze.

A deputy that witnessed the object in night sky said he believes that the object in question was a satellite.
