An Illinois State Police trooper was hospitalized following a traffic crash Tuesday near Lebanon.
The state police officer was traveling north on Illinois 4 at 11:36 a.m. Tuesday when his motorcycle was rear-ended by a white Toyota Corolla, said Trooper Mike Link.
The trooper was transported by MedStar Ambulance Inc. to St. Louis University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The trooper, whose name was not released, has been released from the hospital.
The driver of the car Jonathon R. Porter, 24, of St. Louis was not injured. Porter was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operation of a motor vehicle with no valid registration.
