As part of a five-hour Safe Street Operation saturation patrol Thursday night, Belleville Police Department arrested six individuals and issued nine traffic citations and 55 warning citations.

The arrests included a felony warrant arrest, two misdemeanor warrant arrests and three misdemeanor arrests for cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

In all, police made 61 stops - 59 traffic and two pedestrian. Belleville police also impounded one vehicle.

The safe street patrol was conducted from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday in the areas of Meadowdale, Dawn Heights, 6500 West and Central areas west of Sixth Street in Belleville.
