As both a past president of the Illinois State Bar Association and a practicing attorney, I can attest to the qualities and judgment needed in our judges. It is with these qualities in mind that I fully endorse Circuit Judge Barbara Crowder for retention in the 3rd Judicial Circuit.

Crowder dedicates herself not only to her judicial responsibilities but also to our community at large. When the recession hit and began adversely affecting our most vulnerable citizens' ability to retain legal assistance, Crowder worked to create the Legal Advice Clinic. This is one example of many that shows her dedication to ensuring that the legal system is accessible to all.

Recently. Crowder received an 88 percent rating in a bar poll from lawyers who have practiced in her courtroom. This rating reflects her dedication to the judicial process and the fairness shown to those who come before her bench.

I encourage all to vote "yes" to retain Crowder.
