BELLEVILLE — The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday named a new coordinator to handle the day-to-day operations of the Belleville Main Street Association.

Laura Bauer will serve as Belleville Main Street Committee Coordinator and Chamber Event Planner. She will coordinate activities and membership for Belleville Main Street.

Bauer began the part-time position on Monday. She previously worked as a marketing coordinator for St. Elizabeth's Hospital.

In September, Chamber leaders formalized a merger with Belleville Main Street.

Belleville Main Street President Geri Boyer has said Main Street and the Chamber will share the cost of the new hire. Main Street will keep a separate bank account and members will continue to meet monthly.
