SATURDAY
Erik Blair, 21, 36 A. West Pheasantwood, Belleville; Dennis L. Butler II, 20, 4016 Tudor, Centreville; and Korian T. Smith, 19, 727 Vogel Place, East St. Louis, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery and residential burglary Nov. 1 by Cahokia police. Blair, Butler and Smith allegedly knowingly took property being one television, one Playstation III game system and cellular phones from Terry L. Mickens III by threatening the imminent use of force. Blair, Butler and Smith also allegedly entered into the dwelling place of Timothy S. Gully, located at 308 Cooper Dr. Apt. No. 6, Cahokia, with the intent to commit therein a theft.
Joshua D. Dismukes, 20, 2628 Eastview Drive, Belleville was arrested on suspicion of attempt residential burglary Nov. 1 by St. Clair County Sheriff. Dismukes allegedly knowingly and without authority entered into the dwelling place of Shalonda G. Miller, located at 2628 Eastview Drive Apt. 15 in Belleville, with the intent to commit therein a theft.
Gregory Morgan, 17, 7701 West Main Street Apt. 7, Belleville, was arrested on suspicion of attempt residential burglary Nov. 2 by St. Clair County Sheriff. Morgan allegedly knowingly and without authority tried to enter into the dwelling place of Marjorie Jones, located at 800 Wilshire Dr. in Belleville, with the intent to commit therein a theft.
Michael L. Lambert Jr, 31, 1639 N. Charles St., Belleville, and Cindy L. Summers, 22, 606 W. Phillips St., Freeburg, were arrested on suspicion of two counts of unlawful possession of controlled substance and possession of hypo/syringe/needles by Freeburg police. Lambert and Summers allegedly had in their possession a substance containing Oxycodone, a controlled substance, and a substance containing hydromorphine, a controlled substance. Lambert and Summers also allegedly had in their possession a hypodermic syringe and needle adapted for the use of controlled substances by subcutaneous injection.
MONDAY
Dallas Hill, 27, 2300 Baldwin Road, News Athens was arrested on suspicion of two counts of official misconduct and theft over $500 from July 5 to Sept. 19 by St. Clair County Sheriff. Hills, chief of police for the city of New Athens, while acting in his official capacity, knowingly performed an act which he knew was forbidden by law to perform, in that he committed a theft in excess of $500. He allegedly knowingly exerted unauthorized control over property of the New Athens Police Department, being an Apple iPod and Apple iPad, having a total value in excess of $500.
David J. Smith, 37, 2429 State St., East Cardonelet, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer Nov. 4 by Dupo police. Smith allegedly while operating a motor vehicle, a white 2003 Mitsubishi, was given a visual signal by police officer Kevin Smith, who was in police uniform and driving a vehicle which displayed illuminated, oscillating, rotating or flashing red or blue lights which when used in conjunction with an audible horn or siren would indicate the vehicle to be an official police vehicle, directing the defendant to bring said vehicle to a stop, willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer. The defendant disobeyed two or more officials traffic control devices, being stop signs.
Michael S. Buss, 22, 1012 Lasalle, Belleville, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery, subsequent offense, and unlawful restraint Nov. 3 by Belleville police. Buss allegedly made physical contact in an insulting or provoking nature with Christine Buss, a family/household member of the defendant, in that Buss grabbed Christine Buss by the neck. The defendant had previously been convicted of violation of order of protection on Oct. 26. Buss also allegedly grabbed Christine Buss about the body and forced her against her will back inside the residence of 1012 Lasalle in Belleville.
Ashley N. Kloss, 25, 49 Southern Drive, Belleville, was arrested on suspicion of driving while driver's license is revoked, subsequent, and driving under the influence Nov. 4 by Belleville police. Kloss allegedly drove a black 2004 Ford F350 truck on East A Street in Belleville at a time when defendant's driver's license was revoked and while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol. The defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on June 15, 2010.
Raymond T. O'Loughlin, 34, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery Nov. 4 by St. Clair County Sheriff. O'Loughlin allegedly made physical contact of an insulting nature with Calvin Savage, in that he spit at Savage in the face knowing Savage to be a peace officer engaged in the performance of his authorized duties.
BELLEVILLE POLICE
MONDAY
11:16 a.m. Criminal damage to property --First block of N. Ninth Street. The victim, a 57-year-old female, reported during the overnight hours, a pane of glass on her kitchen door had been shattered.
11:45 a.m. Attempted burglary --900 block of W. Monroe Street. The victim, a 42-year-old male, reported between 6 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 11 a.m. Nov. 5 unknown suspect(s) attempted to cut a lock on the door of his garage. The victim stated that the lock did not break, and entry was not gained.
11:57 a.m. Retail theft - Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. Schyler E. Cole, 22, and Aaron M. Carr, 18, were arrest after taking merchandise from the store without paying for it. Cole and Carr were located, arrested and transported to headquarters, held pending bond.
2:21 p.m. Fraud - First block of Lake Shore Drive. The victim, an 83-year-old male, reported he was contacted on Oct. 25 by an unknown person claiming to be his grandson needing money to get out of jail, somewhere overseas. The victim sent the money. He was contacted again the following day stating he needed to send more money. The victim sent more money. The victim contacted his grandson today and discovered his grandson did not request the money and had not been overseas.
9:13 p.m. Theft - Belleville West High School, 4063 Frank Scott Parkway. The victim, a 35-year-old male, reported between 3 and 5:30 p.m. his cell phone was stolen when it was left unattended in the wrestling coach's office during practice.
11:18 p.m. Battery - Denny's, 1130 S. Illinois. St. Clair County deputies reported while at Denny's, they observed Matthew Jacknewitz, 28, punch the victim, a 31-year-old male. The victim signed an nontraffic citation against Jacknewitz. He was arrested and transported to headquarters, where he later posted bond.
TUESDAY
12:13 a.m. Traffic stop, fleeing -- Illinois 161 and Dutch Hollow. An officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop. As he was turning around the vehicle sped away, running a traffic control device. The vehicle stopped on Royal Heights at Joyce. The driver fled the vehicle on foot towards the trailer court. It was later discovered St. Clair County also wanted the suspect identified as William E, White, 37. St. Clair County deputies later located him. He was transported to St. Clair County on his outstanding warrants along with Belleville's three traffic citations.
1:57 a.m. Traffic stop, DUI - 700 block of S. Belt West. William Hallom, 34, was arrested during a traffic stop after he appeared to be intoxicated. Hallom was transported to headquarters and held pending bond.
10:40 a.m. Motor vehicle theft -- Holtzmann Bechtel, 20 Empire Drive. The business owner/victim, a 59-year-old male, reported between Nov. 2-6 unknown person(s) stole a black R&W brand trailer with Illinois registration, which was parked in front of the building.
11:58 Disorderly conduct - 6300 block of W. Washington. The victim, a 32-year-old female, reported her husband, Juan D. Carraway, 33, called her on the phone and, during the conversation, made a threat of bodily harm. The victim signed an nontraffic citation against J. Carraway. J. Carraway arrived at headquarters, was issued the nontraffic citation and released with a notice to appear.
8:36 p.m. Traffic stop, driving while suspended, possession of cannabis -- 100 block of Signal Hill. Joseph Calhoun, 26, was arrested during a traffic stop after cannabis was located in his vehicle. Calhoun was transported to headquarters and held pending bond.
11:03 p.m. Disorderly conduct -- 300 block of N. Sixth Street. Glenn Stevenson, 50, was arrested after he called 911 stating he had a knife and was requesting officers. Officers discovered Stevenson lied about having a knife in order to have officers respond quicker and speak with his roommate over a dispute they were having. Stevenson was transported to headquarters and released with a notice to appear.
Wednesday
3:35 a.m. D.U.I. - 2200 block of Old Collinsville. Jarrett Slater, 22, was arrested after an officer located stopped in the middle of the roadway, asleep at the wheel. On contact Slater appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. Slater was transported to headquarters and released after posting bond.
