Early morning fog will give way to sunny skies Thursday

Early morning motorists will have to contend with some patchy fog Thursday in the metro-east .

That's expected to clear up by about 8 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Once it does, skies are expected to be mostly clear throughout the day and into the evening hours.

The high temperature is expected to reach 58 degrees Thursday after dipping into the high twenties across the region overnight. Thursday night the low is expected to be 39 with a high temperature of 67 Friday.
