ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

MONDAY, NOV. 5

Daniel P. Hoffman, 50, 8301 Old St. Louis Rd., Belleville, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol Sept. 22 by Illinois State Police. Hoffman allegedly drove a white 1997 Chevrolet 210 truck on Illinois 15 in Belleville, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol.

Justin W. Cheek, 24, 1713 W. Highway 50, O'Fallon, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of domestic battery, subsequent, Oct. 31 by O'Fallon police. Cheek allegedly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with Ashley Harris, a family/household member of the defendant, in that he struck Harris in the back of the head with his hand and in the face with his fist. The defendant had been previously convicted of domestic battery in St. Clair County Court on June 13, 2008.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 7

Carol A. Shearrer, 44, 500 N. 3rd St., Dupo, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer and criminal damage to property on Nov. 5 by Dupo police. Shearrer, while operating a motor vehicle a black 2009 Ford Escape, was given a visual sign by a police officer Ryan Corbin, who was in police uniform and driving a police vehicle, directing the defendant to bring the vehicle to a stop, willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer and in doing so, the defendant disobeyed two or more official traffic control devices, being stop signs. The defendant also allegedly damaged property of Jim Pyle, being the 2006 Mustang GT located at 121 Lavender Lane. Damage was in excess of $300.

Gabriel E. Boyd Jr., 20, 1606 N. 51st St., Washington Park was arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent, Nov. 5 by Fairview Heights police. Boyd allegedly took possession of certain merchandise offered for sale in a retail mercantile establishment, Macy's Midwest, Inc., doing business as Macy's, 200 St. Clair Square, being pairs of jeans having a total retail value not in excess of $300. The defendant has previously been convicted of residential burglary in St. Clair County Court on March 2, 2010.

John D. Reed, 52, 1119 St. Stephens Dr., Cahokia was arrested on suspicion of driving while license is revoked, subsequent, Nov. 5 by St. Clair County Sheriff. Reed allegedly drove a green 1995 Chevrolet van on St. Clair Avenue in East St. Louis at a time when defendant's driver's license was revoked. The defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on Nov. 1, 2007.

Tory C. Bell, 39, 1133 Saint Helena Dr., Cahokia was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery, subsequent, and interference with the reporting of domestic violence Nov. 6 by Cahokia police. Bell allegedly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with Erica C. Bell, a family/household member of the defendant, in that Bell struck Erica C. Bell in the face. He also allegedly attempted to prevent Erica Bell from making a report to any law enforcement official by threatening to kill Erica Bell and burn down her house. The defendant had been previously convicted of domestic battery in St. Clair County Court on Oct. 19.

FEDERAL COURT

THURSDAY, NOV. 8

James T. Carter, 41, of East St. Louis pleaded guilty in Federal District Court to unlawful possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon. Carter is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 22, 2013, at which time he faces a maximum potential sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Carter also agreed to forfeit the firearm.

Michael A. Cooper, 56, of Centreville pled guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon. Cooper is scheduled to be sentenced on March 1, 2013, at which time he faces a maximum potential sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Cooper also agreed to forfeit various firearms.

Wayne R. Smith, 48, of Belleville, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery.

Ryan C. Lovell, 20, of Lebanon, was arrested on a warrant.

Stephen L. Shepherd, 53, of Belleville, was arrested on suspicion of a sex offense.

Dwayne Henry, 49, of Alorton, was arrested on a warrant.

Joseph R. Carr, 21, of Belleville, was arrested on suspicion of a violation of an order of protection.

Desman J. White, 27, of St. Louis, was arrested on a warrant.

Willie C. Allen, 59, of East St. Louis, was arrested on a warrant.

Matthew R. Wood, 28, of Belleville, was arrested on a warrant.

Tacita L. Morris, 37, of Belleville, was arrested on suspicion of operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving on a suspended or revoked drivers license and violating the Illinois traffic code.

John D. Robinson, 46, of Cahokia, was arrested on a warrant.

Toby J. Isom, 38, of Belleville, was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana.

James M. Sims, 39, of Belleville, was arrested on a warrant.

Ursula R. Henderson, 56, of Centreville, was arrested on a warrant.

Tammi R. Jacks, 22, of Belleville, was arrested on a warrant.

Sandra J. Gyon-Bauers, 37, of Belleville, was arrested on a probation violation.

Amber D. Casillas, 24, of Fairview Heights, was arrested on a warrant.

Kamia S. Smith, 28, of Belleville, was arrested on a warrant.

George E. Charlton, 26, of Cahokia, was arrested on a warrant.

Joshua L. Connell, 23, of St. Louis, was arrested on a warrant.

Vondria L. Jefferson, 42, of Belleville, was arrested on a warrant.
