A woman who on Friday was reported missing to Belleville Police was found safe after a perilous car trip.
According to Capt. Don Sax, the woman was reported missing by her family at 3:25 a.m. Police did not identify the driver. But they said she takes a medication that causes her to become disoriented if she doesn't take it on time -- or if she takes too much of it -- and her family was worried about her well being when it was discovered she was gone and that she was driving.
The vehicle she was in fit the description of a car that was driving erratically in and around west Belleville, stopping at homes along Powder Mill Road.
Sax said the woman was found safely about 7:25 a.m. and that there were no reports of accidents due to the erratic driver. He had no further details about what caused her to go missing or how she was found.
